Thank You for a Mighty Showing at the 2024 Walk for Life

A shout out to everyone who participated in the 2024 Walk for Life! Thank you to each walker and the people who pledged to them, each business, church and organization that donated food and supplies, and to each volunteer who served with such joy. Because of YOU we exceeded the goal we so desperately needed to reach to keep our doors open. Our current Walk for Life total is $35,276 with still more donations trickling in.

On Saturday, October 12 we had a beautiful, sunny fall morning at Thompson Park for the Walk for Life 2024. The Heights Church volunteers welcomed people with bright smiles as they registered 172 Walkers. During registration, Northside Church volunteers served up a delicious spread of breakfast items provided by local businesses and individuals. After prayer, we headed to the paved upper circle to WALK FOR LIFE. There were lots of new faces and many of our faithful walkers from past years. We had entire families walking together and people of all ages - our youngest walker was 10 months old, and our most mature walker was 84! After walking we gathered back in the pavilion for some great fellowship, lunch and awards. Jeff Diddle from First Free Methodist Church sang and played guitar. Thank you, Jeff, for helping us honor God, the Giver of all life! The basket raffle was a fun addition to this year’s celebration. People vied for 15 baskets given to us by generous supporters.

Heartbeat’s Walk for Life is an extraordinary prolife event that unites people from Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia with a common passion to protect unborn children by educating, equipping and encouraging women in unexpected pregnancy situations. This mission overcomes denominational, political and social differences to honor the image of God in every human being, born and unborn. Seeing all of you walking alongside us is a tremendous encouragement for Heartbeat’s leadership and staff. Thank you!
